- Understand current events, the Aboriginal cultural world view, and the importance of symbols and practices
- Utilize appropriate protocol when referring to Aboriginal peoples (First Nation, Métis and Inuit)
- Develop basic skills required to build intercultural competence and relationship-building
- Discuss challenges, solutions and strategies for building intercultural competence
