Country Resource Persons and Subject Matter Experts

Graybridge Malkam is recruiting independent contractors on an as-needed basis for the following countries/regions:

Services Required:

Graybridge Malkam is seeking resources in the either of the following categories:

Country Resource Personnel

Country resource personnel contribute to training events lasting on average two to four hours. These training events are for learner groups of one to five participants. The format is typically an informal discussion rather than a formal presentation. The country resource person is expected to speak about current aspects of their country of origin including but not limited to the history, geography, government, culture and society, communications, recent events, special concerns, etc. The country resource person must also provide an understanding of differences in culture, society and relationships between their country of expertise and Canada.  The country resource person must have good communication skills in one or both of Canada’s Official Languages (English and French).

Subject Matter Experts

Subject matter experts contribute to training events lasting one or more days. These training events are for larger groups of learners, ranging from 15 to 250 participants. The format is typically a structured presentation. Subject matter experts are expected to speak at a professional level and in-depth about current aspects of their country of origin including but not limited to the history, geography, government, culture and society, communications, recent events, special concerns, etc. Subject matter experts must also provide an understanding of differences in culture, society and relationships between their country of origin and Canada.

In some instances, the subject matter experts are expected to provide thematic or sectoral knowledge beyond country-specific information. In other instances, the subject matter experts provide thematic or sectoral knowledge that is not necessarily specific to a particular country.

Subject matter experts must have good communication skills in one or both of Canada’s Official Languages (English and French).

How to Apply:

To apply for either service areas above (Country Resource Personnel/Subject Matter Expert), carefully complete the following form and submit it for review. Only candidates demonstrating appropriate qualifications and experience will be contacted for an interview by Graybridge Malkam.

The last year and month that you lived, worked or visited the country of expertise.
How frequently do you return to this country for work or pleasure.
Please provide your availability to provide services as a Country Resource Person and/or Subject Matter Expert.
Provide your level of proficiency in English and/or French (e.g., Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Proficient).
Are you comfortable presenting to an individual or small group in an informal setting?
Are you comfortable presenting to a large group in a formal setting?
Enter the following information for each post-secondary diploma or degree: Year of Completion, Name of Institution, Country of Institution, Diploma or Degree Type.
