Graybridge Malkam is recruiting full-time English Language Teachers to join our Language Teacher Trainer Course team. Positions are based out of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, and require teachers to work onsite from Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day. We are currently seeking a minimum of three (3) qualified candidates. Current session duration approximately six (6) months (December-May).
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite learner-centered training to adult professionals;
- Teach Student-Teachers of the English language who are foreign nationals living in Canada’s allied and/or partner countries to:
- Improve their English skills;
- Develop their teaching techniques through exposure to various approaches (such as the communicative approach); and
- Learn about Canadian culture and values, including the Canadian Military values.
Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university* in education and 600 hours of experience in teaching English to Anglophone and/or Francophone and/or Allophone adult students since January 2010; or
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university* in a discipline such as languages, translation, literature, history, sociology, journalism, political science, social science, communication, with 900 hours of experience in teaching English to Anglophone and/or Francophone and/or Allophone adult students since January 2010;
- Proficiency in English at the ILR level 4 or above, as attested by a recognized language proficiency testing institution (if required);
- Expert knowledge of Canadian culture;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Capable of using information technology and/or multimedia tools, including as a minimum: Windows and word processing for Windows; email; Internet; You Tube; laptops; mobile devices (including tablets, smartphones and I-pods); multimedia technologies; spreadsheets and smart boards.
